Polymer Concrete Enclosures
Polymer concrete enclosures are the heavy-duty standard for below-grade infrastructure protection. Made from select-grade aggregates bonded with polymer resin and reinforced with fiberglass, these boxes deliver exceptional compressive strength and long-term durability in high-traffic environments. When the specification calls for maximum structural performance — road crossings, parking lots, industrial yards — polymer concrete is the proven choice.
Galloway stocks polymer concrete enclosures from Hubbell Quazite and Oldcastle Infrastructure. The Quazite line offers the broadest size range in the industry from compact 6”×8” grade-level boxes up to 48”×96” full-size vaults with multiple body styles, tier ratings, and UL listing across most configurations. Quazite boxes are manufactured in Lenoir City, Tennessee.
Oldcastle Polymer Concrete
Oldcastle also manufactures a polymer concrete enclosure line as a complement to their Dura-lite composite offerings. The polymer concrete option is the right choice when specifications require maximum compressive strength or when the installation environment involves heavy sustained loading.

Hubbell Quazite
Quazite polymer concrete enclosures are available in multiple body styles designated by two-letter prefixes: PG (straight wall, general purpose), PC (stackable), PD and PT (flared wall), and PX (extended depth). The PG style is the most commonly specified for telecom and broadband applications. All standard sizes are available in Tier 8, Tier 15, or Tier 22 ratings, with UL listing to ANSI/SCTE 77 (2017 edition) on most configurations. The Quazite system includes the EZ Auger™ self-cleaning bolt system for cover attachment, pre-molded mouseholes for conduit entry, and optional gasketing for moisture-sensitive installations. Box Armor™ polymer concrete lids are available as an upgrade for applications requiring enhanced cover durability.

Composite vs Polymer Concrete: When To Use Which
| Factor | Composite (HDPE) | Polymer Concrete |
|---|---|---|
| Weight | Significantly lighter—hand-settable in most sizes | Heavy—larger sizes require mechanical placement |
| Strength | Tier 15 and Tier 22 available (cover-dependent) | Tier 8, 15, and 22. Higher compressive strength overall |
| UL Listing | Varies by manufacturer and model | UL Listed to ANSI/SCTE 77 on most Quazite configs |
| Best For | High-volume FTTH builds, weight-sensitive installs, no crane access | Road crossings, spec-driven projects, UL-required, max load |
| Size Range | 12”×12” to 48”×60” (Channell BULK) | 6”×8” to 48”×96” (Quazite full catalog) |
