Split Steel Conduit - Flanged Maintenance Pipe (FMP)

Flanged Maintenance Pipe (FMP) by Ironhed is an engineered two-piece split steel conduit system for protecting existing live utilities without service interruption. Unlike field-fabricated split steel—where standard pipe is torch-cut into halves that warp, misalign, and leave jagged edges—FMP is purpose-manufactured with continuous side flanges, factory-punched slotted holes every 3 inches, and close tolerances that fit together every time. FMP installs around occupied conduit using a wrench and cordless drill—no welding, no field fabrication, no couplers required on straight runs. Galloway stocks FMP from Ironhed in the sizes and wall thicknesses your utility protection projects require.

Features

The features below cover both sides of FMP — the hand-tool fit that lets a crew case a live line without fabrication, and the load-rated casing left protecting it long-term.
