Hunting’s HDD M-Series mud motor incorporates the sonde housing into the bearing housing unlike conventional mud motors, which place the sonde (beacon) housing 20 to 30 ft behind the bit. This innovative design gives the operator more accurate tracking information than any other mud motor in the industry.

 

The HDD M-Series is built for drillers who need a solid, reliable solution for tackling periodic rock bores, and for horizontal drilling in most rock formations. It is designed for use with:

 

  • Drills having 40,000 lb of pullback or higher, or certain mud capacities of 150 gpm or greater (575 motor)

 

  • Drills having 150,000 lb of pullback or higher, or certain mud capacities of 300 gpm or greater (675 motor)
